Here we are in Watertown, South Dakota. It’s the 5th largest town in the state, surrounded by rural farming communities. There is a strong religious heritage, but for many people it is only a Sunday morning ritual. We are partnering with the local churches to share the gospel and our testimonies of how having a personal relationship with Jesus has changed our lives.
Our first performance was a combo show at the Watertown mall with GX and Team Xtreme. We are performing and sharing personal testimonies at nursing homes and schools.
We have performed at two large outreach events in two towns. At the first outreach night at Webster high school, 550 attended, 88 received salvation, 21 of which were unchurched. Three entire families came up for the altar call together. A 15 year old girl who surrendered her life to Jesus was pregnant and dedicated her baby to The Lord.
The second outreach night was held at Tiospa Zina American Indian Tribal School. This school is strictly only for Native American children. Many of these students come from broken families impoverished by alcohol, drugs and gambling addictions. The tribal committee is very strict to let outsiders, especially Christians, come into the school. Because Island Breeze is a native culture and dance group, they allowed us to come. Two natives from our team shared their personal testimonies. After the show the local churches served food and our teams ate with the students and their families.
Thank you for all your prayers and support. It is an honor to partner with you in sharing the good news about Jesus here in South Dakota.
